Lost Charge Recovery Project Requirements

To begin the Lost Charge Recovery Project, Leco needs the following information:
  • Remote Access into the hospital’s billing and accounts receivable system.
  • Discharge List for the time period under review, sent on a CD or electronically via our FTP site or secure e-mail.
  • Copies of the actual managed care contracts or Payer Matrix for the time period under review.
  • A copy of the Chargemaster for the time period under review sent on a CD or electronically via our FTP site or secure e-mail.
  • Ability to tag/note accounts that are under review
  • Name and phone numbers for the Director’s of the following departments: Worker’s Compensation and Auto Accident, Billing or Insurance, Medical Records Director, Operating Room, Anesthesia, Recovery Room, Critical Care Nursing Units (ICU, CCU, etc.), Pharmacy, Central Supply, Diagnostic Radiology, CT Scanning, MRI, Cardiac Cath Lab, Emergency Department, Respiratory Therapy, Laboratory
Once this information is obtained, we will begin our Lost Charge Recovery Project.
