Overview of the CDM Requirements:

CHARGE DESCRIPTION MASTER - We need a Chargemaster that will cover the time period under review, and the Chargemaster must include:
  • Item Number
  • Item Description (full billing description)
  • Department Number
  • Revenue Code
  • Unit Price
  • Pricing Effective Date
  • CPT/HCPCS Code
This should be sent to us on a CD, electronically via our FTP site or secure e-mail and can be in the format used by the hospital. This CDM will be used to identify the correct pricing, by date, for missing items.

We also ask for a listing of the hospital department titles and corresponding numbers (i.e. Surgery #1200).
